Another popular, versatile wood with rich textures and open grain patterns that lends itself to practically any application. Color ranges from white to yellow to reddish-brown, with green, yellow or black mineral streaks and open-end grain.

Kind of a go-to wood species - very uniform and predictable, with a closed wood grain and off-white in color. Works well with all stain and paint colors, espically lighter colors. Can have mineral streaks, burling, bird's eye marks and grain variations for a unique feel. 

Medium density hardwood with a distinct, moderate grain pattern. Versitile, useful for designs that are anywhere from casual to refined. Predominately yellow to pink in color, Birch can contain knots, mineral streaks and worm holes.
